Moringa oleifera: the new “superfood”
It is called Moringa Oleifera , and is considered the new superfood: highly nutritious, this powder very similar to Matcha tea contains all nine essential amino acids, vitamins of group A, C, E, proteins and minerals. In particular, it contains a lot of iron, calcium and magnesium. It also has a high content of vitamin K. Finally, it has an excellent fiber content.
This incredible mix of beneficial substances for the body makes Moringa Oleifera powder the new superfood to try for our health, but it also has some peculiar healing properties and more. For example, it would be suitable for feeding breastfeeding women, because it would increase the production and quality of breast milk. It would also increase cognitive and learning abilities and due to its excellent protein profile it is perfect in vegan nutrition.
Applied to the face, for example as an ingredient in a DIY mask, this powder has great skin purifying properties.
Always used in Africa and Asia, Moringa Oleifera powder also lands in the West : as it does not contain caffeine, it can be used instead of tea (Moringa tea exists) or in smoothies, but also in sweet preparations such as muffins and “green” biscuits (exactly as happens with Matcha) and salty as vegetable soups. Its antioxidant effects are incredible: it would help the immune system, reduce muscle aches, improve hormonal health and of course reduce stress.
On the other hand, the story that some types of Moringa on the market have a bad taste seems to be disproved (personally it seems neutral to me): it simply tastes like a vegetable powder, not as aromatic as tea.
