Molecular diet: an impossible interview with prof. Pier Luigi Rossi
Let’s go back to talking about the molecular diet and prof. Pier Luigi Rossi , creator of this diet and esteemed dietician, being a specialist in Food Science, as we read from his website.
What is the molecular diet? The professor. Pier Luigi Rossi is one of those doctors who claim that calories are not important in the diet , indeed, that they do not exist “in the human body”. To lose weight, but above all to have a correct diet that makes us stay healthy and “also” lose weight, we don’t need to take into account calories but food molecules. In particular, balanced eating is important to ensure that you have an adequate glycemic load during meals: if the blood sugar rises too much, we gain weight. What’s the problem with the molecular diet? I see one. The molecular diet is one method . What does method mean? For a diet to be successful and popular, it is advisable that it is a method, that is, that it follows criteria: the Dukan diet for example is. A series of rules are provided that allow anyone, roughly speaking, to be able to follow a diet. There are often portions for weight loss and maintenance, or foods to avoid. In the case of the molecular diet, you can find it in blogs and magazines expressed as a diet, with the typical week. Rightfully so, people tend to try that week, but they don’t acquire any methods. And they go back to doing the Dukan.
