Matcha tea for weight loss: does it work?
With much higher antioxidant power than regular green tea, matcha tea promotes weight loss according to this recent study . Matcha tea is a blend of green tea whose leaves are dried and then ground into a bright green powder : used by the Japanese as a ceremonial drink, matcha is a great substitute for regular coffee, and would boost metabolism with its incredible antioxidant power. In fact, matcha tea contains 137 times more polyphenols than the more common green tea, and can therefore be referred to as a real superfood: a cup of matcha tea has the same antioxidant power as ten cups of tea.but with something more. The particular polyphenols in matcha tea, called EGCG , are catechins that block the formation of fat cells, according to the study, and obviously fight inflammation, increasing the immune system and removing us from the risk of seasonal ills. Another study found that people who regularly consume green tea have a 33% lower risk of developing type 2 diabetes by reducing their blood glucose.
But how do you make matcha tea? First of all it is good to look for it in an organic shop, focusing on a quality product, or looking for it on the internet in some specialized sites like this one.: the important thing is that the product is certified, and not some preparation with the addition of additives and sugars. The tea is obtained by heating some water and extinguishing it on the flame before boiling. Add a tablespoon of powder and mix it into the water by drawing an M or W on it. A cup is much more invigorating and energizing than a coffee.
