Man loses 80 kilos with vegan diet (and sport)
The story of Eric O has been published on the Fork over Knives website (a site that, starting from the successful documentary of the same name on natural nutrition, promotes healthier dietary choices, from vegetarian to vegan, proposing in-depth themes and recipes), the story of Eric O ‘Gray , written by himself, and his incredible weight loss. It is a very touching story, which has been around the web and which I think can be of great inspiration. In fact, Eric lost the beauty of 80 kilos at the age of almost 52 yearsafter a life spent fighting against the extra pounds and various problems related to his obesity, including diabetes. He had gotten to the point that his doctor advised him to buy a tomb if he really didn’t want to change his habits: he only offered him six months to live. Now, this is a fundamental point.
Those who struggle with being overweight are not new to diets, but he still hasn’t found something that works for him. In fact, Eric had tried everything, and due to his health conditions he was not suitable for bariatric surgery. He approached the choice that would change his life by watching TV. He found that President Clinton had lost weight thanks to the vegetarian diet (or plant-based diet, as Eric says) and made a calculation of how each of his meals instead had meat and animal products, with condiments and sauces, in which the vegetable was an occasional pale side dish. Eric had never eaten wholemeal, and he believed that eating a plant-based diet meant eating only fruits and vegetables, nuts and legumes.Speaking to a dietician, she found that obviously cereals, potatoes and many other foods were also included, and she tried this diet. In parallel, she adopted an obese dog like him and started taking long walks . After the first few pounds he lost, he found the courage to join the gym, which he attended 3 times a week. And so now he competes in marathons and after a year he has lost the beauty of 8o kilos, also managing to successfully fight his diabetes.
