Lose weight with the stepper

The stepper is a very useful tool for losing weight, and it is one of the most important tools that we must have at home if we want to do some gymnastics and we are not regular gym goers.
I know a girl who has lost over ten kilos with just the purchase of the stepper.
I’ll explain why and how you can lose weight with the stepper. The stepper , as you know, is a tool with two pedals: in some models it is also possible to change the inclination of the pedals, so as to work on the stepper as if we were going uphill.

You get on the stepper and push your legs up and down: with greater speed for a totally aerobic work; pushing the pedals fully, on the other hand, after the warm-up and aerobic work, we will have a more intense anaerobic and muscular work.

How do you push the stepper pedals?

With your heels, never work with your toes unless you want to train your calves, but only for a couple of minutes.
There are steppers that offer a handlebar so that you can balance with your arms: others, the mini-steppers, are without handlebars or with detachable handlebars, and you can train either by leaning against a wall or by keeping your balance.
This last option is very useful if you want to tone your glutes and abs. In the second case, in fact, by contracting the abdominal muscles to keep us in balance, we will be able to tone the belly and buttocks.

What are the benefits of the stepper?

The stepper is one of the tools that  burn the most calories : the important thing is to do it for at least half an hour. It works very well for weight loss, especially for sedentary subjects.
We can also train with the stepper while watching television, and we can shape the muscles of the calves, legs, buttocks and abdominals with a single tool, simply by varying the work.

Can you lose weight with the stepper?

In half an hour of work on a stepper we can burn 150 calories, certainly less than other activities, but much more than with other tools. I recommend it to everyone, even those with poor mobility because you can always train while sitting.
But it is important to remember to do an adequate warm-up first and to avoid it instead, due to the constant stresses, if we have problems with the joints of the legs or knees.

The price is also our friend: the steppers and ministeppers above all are all in all cheap tools, the prices for a good ministepper go around forty euros. Here are some examples.

  • Ultrasport Swing Stepper with Training Bands / Home Training Stepper with Wireless Training Computer – Up-Down Stepper for beginners and experts .
  • Innoliving FIT-804, Stepper with Unisex Handlebar .
  • Ultrasport Mini Bike Home trainer .Today there are models that also have bungee cords for the arms.
This way you can do a complete workout.

Today all models have a calorie counter. It is appropriate to say that with a minimum expense you can bring home a great result!
