Lose weight with the scale, here’s how
I’m not a big proponent of scales, I tell you the truth. I find it useless and even harmful to weigh ourselves every day , because from one day to the next if the situation has changed drastically it cannot be because we have suddenly ingested or lost the nine thousand calories that make up a kilo of fat, while if from one week to the next we register variations it is more likely to be able to interpret it as a warning not to get fat.
In addition, our weight fluctuation recorded by the scale may come from other non-food causes, and this is especially true for women, who during their period can gain weight due to water retention of up to one, one and a half pounds. And then does it make sense to weigh yourself during the holidays? In my opinion not, unless we want what we eat to stay painfully on our stomach. Does it make sense to binge because the scales seem to confirm that we are all in all in shape? No, of course, yet it happens when instead of continuing the diet we let ourselves be lulled by the first successes and go back to eating as before. A very common mistake. As I wrote in another article on the subject, I would say that if you have to lose weight, the scale can be a great tool, as long as you always weigh yourself at the same time and in the same conditions: same clothing, after going from the body, after having fasted or ate the same things for breakfast
