Lose 40 kilos in two moves! Bryn’s story
Today I’m going to tell you about Bryn’s case, a girl who lost about forty kilos in two simple steps: working out and eliminating junk food! As in other similar news, I like to tell you from time to time the documented stories of people who have made headlines because they have won their battle against the extra pounds without resorting to either pills or surgery. This obviously does not want to be a condemnation to those who need this kind of help in order to lose weight, but it is a way to encourage all the people who believe that those who are heavily overweight have bariatric surgery as the only possible way, that it is impossible. lose 30, 50 or 70 pounds with diet or exercise alone, that there are three thousand difficulties that make weight loss impossible for them and so on.
I do this by choosing stories of ordinary people, who have accepted to change their lives by disciplining themselves a little at the table and overcoming laziness, but without spending exorbitant amounts, with a busy life and the same difficulties as everyone else. Bryn Berg, for example, is a forty-year-old Californian woman who lost the beauty of forty kilos, going from 105 kilos to 65 in two years, from 2008 to 2010. Before that, Bryn weighed more than a ton, she was depressed, she felt a bankrupt and had decided to give up any expectation in life and take refuge in food: nothing worked in her life, so she decided to take refuge in food. In 2008 she realized that in addition to depression, she felt like sick: she was obese, lacking in energy and always tired.
The first step was to enroll in the gym, in the nearest gym, to do each course 5 times a week, carving out an hour of activity a day: in this way Bryn did not get bored and with just one monthly subscription she followed everyone the courses that distracted her most, from intensive training to zumba to aerobics. This is because she did not want to give up the pleasure of food.
The second step was to eat less junk : by making a healthier life, Bryn began, like many, to find a lot of foods that she used to adore nauseating and too fat, gradually becoming less craving. In this interview, reveals how graduality was his weapon to fight obesity: Bryn in fact took two years, eliminating one food a week (attention, not a category of foods: one week she said goodbye to smarties, for one thing) and giving in with the gym (and when he couldn’t, making up for it with an hour’s walk). But the transformation was evident!
