Liquid summer diet menu: how much is lost and recipes

A liquid diet is a diet that is essentially based on drinks or other liquids. It can be a total liquid diet, so no solid foods are consumed, or a partial liquid diet, where 70% of the food comes from liquid foods, but there is at least one solid meal a day.

In its total form, I generally advise against it to lose weight, unless you want to do a light day for our needs. As a semi-liquid diet, on the other hand, it undeniably offers advantages for losing weight.

In this article we will look at the menu of a summer liquid diet from Indian dietician Suman Pahuja , which we have already talked about in the diet to lose 10 kilos in the summer. Clearly, as with any diet, you must first consult with your doctor.

SUMMER LIQUID DIET: ADVANTAGES

A lot of people tend not to chew their food properly.
In fact, it is advisable to chew a bite at least 30 or 40 times, to allow the assimilation of nutrients and facilitate digestion but not only: chewing for a long time also increases the sense of satiety.
However, the assimilation of nutrients is very important for a healthy metabolism.
Liquid meals, especially if natural, therefore allow for greater absorption of nutrients and a reduction in digestive discomfort.

So much so that the basic diet protocol, usually liquid, is used in cases of chronic gastric disorders.

In addition to optimizing digestion, the other advantage of the liquid diet is that of draining and remineralizing.
On the one hand it allows us to hydrate ourselves more: on the other hand we aim for foods rich in mineral salts necessary for electrolyte balance, such as fruit and vegetables.
So it is normal that with the liquid diet you tend to lose more weight than with a traditional diet.

LIQUID DIET: HOW MUCH IS LOST?

With this liquid diet, you lose about 3 kg per week. Then a transition plan and a maintenance plan are followed so as not to regain the weight lost. In the maintenance we find a series of good rules to avoid returning to the initial conditions. At the end of the article we will also see some small workouts that we can follow with this dietary regimen.

With this doctor’s plan there are no nutritional imbalances, but a slight reduction in fat.
After the first two days, in addition to feeling lighter and deflated, we will have brighter skin, better sleep and higher energy levels.

Finally, according to Dr. Pahuja, this diet can also be followed by women with a sluggish thyroid or polycystic ovary syndrome. The menu has a low glycemic index despite the presence of fruit and foods that rebalance the bacterial flora. The diet can be done for up to two weeks.
