Light mayonnaise, Dr. Oz’s recipe
Proposed by chef Rocco DiSpirito, these healthy and alternative but low-calorie substitutions are ideal compared to traditional dishes and recipes for those on a diet, and are presented in the new episodes of the Dr Oz Show. Today I decided to describe some of them in more articles, choosing those that are also good for our Mediterranean taste, and are actually simple and intelligent light alternatives. In this article we see the recipe for light mayonnaise. Compared to other recipes that I have found on the net and in cooking programs, this mayonnaise uses different ingredients than the original one. And it’s super easy .
LIGHT MAYONNAISE (Rocco DiSpirito’s recipe for Dr. Oz Show)
Ingredients:
3 tablespoons of white wine vinegar
2 teaspoons of stevia
2 tablespoons of Dijon mustard (not in grains)
a teaspoon of salt and
pepper (optional)
500 g of Greek yogurt
Mix the vinegar with the mustard and stevia, salt and pepper. Add the yogurt and voila, you have your fat-free light mayonnaise (but if you want you can add a tablespoon of oil) and with about 9 calories per tablespoon, 10 if you add a little oil. Perfect in sandwiches, in potato salad, this special light mayonnaise can be kept in the fridge for 4-5 days. I will try it immediately!
