Lie about the weight, even to yourself
This is not a post about diets and ways to lose weight , but more of a blog post. born reading a status on facebook in which a self-describing girl declared herself to be one meter and seventy tall and weighing fifty kilos. Too bad there were photos of her, which instead depicted a much more normal-weight girl (fifty kilos by one meter and seventy tall is a little bit). Which got me thinking about how many people I know who lie about weight.I don’t understand why they do it. To be able to say that you are thinner? I know tall, well-placed women who say they don’t weigh over 53 or 54 pounds. They extrapolate to weigh themselves in the pharmacy. I would like to meet their dealer, because given the conviction with which they say such nonsense they seem convinced and sincere, so they must necessarily have dropped something or be excellent actresses. But the point is: why lie about your weight, often cheating as much as ten kilos? There are many hypotheses: the first is that they tend to guess or have a needle balance or even have a balance from thirty years ago, which has stopped giving the right weight since the euro has existed in Italy. The second hypothesis is that they want to envy or want to paint themselves differently from how they are, a bit like those who cheat on their height. People of five feet overconvinced that they are at least six feet tall. The weight would therefore be the new female age: I will never tell you exactly how much it is, you would never ask me directly, but if the conversation should happen I will cut myself a lot of kilos, a bit like in the past it was done with years.
According to the Daily Mail, women cheat, cutting themselves an average of 4 to 5 pounds.
“You? What are you saying? You are a maximum of 46 kilos! “. Yes, bye.
Why am I telling you all this? Because as I have explained to you in some articles, very often our anxiety about going on a diet is not given so much by the clothes that fit tightly but by the environment that surrounds us. Including people who lie about their weight to make us feel inadequate. If we have friends who lie about weight, we will automatically feel fatter and uncomfortable. Unfortunately, surrounding yourself with sincere people is a bit difficult, and when it comes to fitness, the weight dance is nothing compared to people who swear to work hours in the gym, to wear a size 38 or to be 10 cm taller. . However, in the absence of other adequate tools, let us try to make the tare ourselves, and not always feel judged.
Personally, I dream of a world in which all people are on average in shape, that is in a healthy way, and that when asked how much you weigh everyone answers “I don’t know”.
