Let’s dispel the culinary myths thanks to Dario Bressanini

Let’s say you are bored reading and prefer to watch a video : in this (short) article I would like to point out the novelty of this year, even if with a few months of delay. The chemist, writer and science writer Dario Bressanini has recently opened his own youtube channel , in which he debunks the various culinary myths, some of which have already been debated in his blog ” Science in the kitchen “.

You can see some of the food hoaxes that run on the net unmasked in simple words , but also discover what lies behind some food legends, some practices, some thought tendencies or habits that uncritically suppose to be true: from palm oil to freezing foods. that we have already defrosted; from fructose to GMOs in the Italian food system up to the analysis of additives and dyes present in many industrial products.

There are even the “pills” of science in the kitchen , in which Bressanini explains how to best make some recipes, exploiting his knowledge as a chemist: if for you as well as for me meringues are an eternal failure (in my defense I also put the oven …), or if you want to know how to make a doc ragù, Bressanini explains it to you .

In short, this channel is an opportunity to have good dissemination and get a culture: you can subscribe here .
