Last meal syndrome: do you know it?
It is called ” last meal syndrome ” or rather “last supper syndrome” but it has nothing biblical at all, if anything it describes a behavior that all people who go on a diet frequently know well, and which they even find educational, while in reality it is the indicator of an unhealthy relationship with food. Because?
In fact, the last meal syndrome is the condition whereby we overeat the night before or the day before a diet, indulging in crap, or sweets and junk food . We are told that the next day will be the good one to put our heads right, but in reality it is not, because the days when we put our heads right seem to us a punishment inflicted by God for sins we have not committed. And so,we live the food restriction as a galley life (even in a prison), and we continue to dream of those moments in which to make it dirty, to indulge in the wildest junk food. The last supper syndrome comes back this time in an unexpected way: again you, shouldn’t we have seen each other again? And it keeps coming back every time we have a yield towards those foods so nutritious and right but so tasteless, which force us to various culinary adventures to give them one. The ice cream, on the other hand, is as good as hers, and so is the takeaway pizza and her aunt’s desserts.
Put simply, and even if we don’t realize it, the last meal syndrome is the first indicator of a bad relationship with food and suggests a tendency to nervous and uncontrolled hunger and new terrible feelings of guilt
