Jean-Claude Vacassin’s “five steps” weight loss program
Jean Claude Vacassin is a British personal trainer and coach who often writes in the Huffington Post about diet and health and is well known in the UK for being the owner of the W10 gym chain and most recently for his nutrition and fitness advice. so he has a reputation for being something of a guru . These days we are talking about his “five steps” diet plan, a really simple weight loss program, which revolves around these five steps or five good rules to get back in shape quickly, but also to stay in shape. “definitive” way.
THE FIVE STEPS PLAN, JEAN CLAUDE VACASSIN’S SLIMMING PROGRAM
1)Drink a liter of water a day for every 25 kilos of body weight
2) Eat real food (editor’s note: real food means: eggs, meat or fish but not in processed and industrial products, legumes, fruit and vegetables, whole grains nuts, seeds and potatoes. No bakery or industrially processed products, no refined food but only wholemeal flours). The diet should be measured according to the palms: two palms of (our) hand of vegetables for lunch and dinner, one palm of pure proteins such as meat, fish or eggs or whole grains or legumes. Fruit snacks (maximum one palm) and a few walnuts or hazelnuts or almonds during the day. Vacassin mentions this formula from Michael Pollan, of which I wrote an article here .
3) Walk for half an hour a day strictly
4) Do 100 complete workouts a year (of any kind so consider 100 gym sessions a year or 100 workouts even at home, the important thing is to train every part of the body. A hundred a year means training about once every 3 days , so about 2 times a week at least)
5) Sleep at least 50 hours a week (just over 7 hours a day).
As you can see it is a very simple program, but if we did all these 5 things every day we could say goodbye to extra pounds with ease and also have a guide for maintenance (it would be enough to eat a little more).
