Is losing weight easily impossible for women?
Anyone who has ever tried to lose weight with their partner already knows: losing weight is more difficult for women than for men. But maybe if we knew why all this happens we could better understand what to do to lose weight if we are women. Here is a list of reasons why women struggle to lose weight (with tips to get around the various obstacles) and how to manage to lose weight easily.Â
HOW TO LOSE WEIGHT EASILY IF YOU ARE A WOMAN?
1) Women have, biologically speaking, less lean mass: even a thin woman, compared to a thin man, will always have a higher percentage of total body fat. The reason is biological: women have to procreate, then breastfeed, and every month they have periods from the moment they are fertile. All things that are guaranteed in women when a minimum percentage of fat mass is ensured. So much so that women who prolong restrictive regimens lose their periods. What to do instead to make biology less disabling? Go to the gym or do alternative activities, every day or at least 3 times a week (depending on the type of activity).
2) Women burn fat differently than men:men lose body fat more easily (and gain muscle more easily) thanks to testosterone. Women have testosterone too, but they really have a lot less of it. How to fix it? Women who struggle to lose weight should always check that their testosterone levels are not too low (for the average female, of course). This prevents them from burning fat and losing weight, thus gaining lean mass. How to do?
