Is drinking too much water bad for you?
As I explain in this article , water is very important for weight loss , and is considered a simple trick to lose weight quickly: both of the above statements are true. Drinking little water does not allow optimal hydration and strains the metabolism, drinking more water increases it. Models use the trick of water to lose weight quickly: three or four liters in a few days and they throw out a lot more liquids, losing a couple of kilos.
But, on the need to drink a liter and a half or two liters a day for everyone I could be wrong. Or rather, in the face of many dieticians and nutritionists who claim that it is necessary to drink at least eight glasses of water a day, there are some who instead claim the opposite. You have to drink when you are thirsty. Neither more nor less. If we drink less, our metabolism slows down. If we drink more, our metabolism… slows down . Yes, you got it right.
So how much water should we drink?
We must drink according to our thirst, not forcibly . If we want to have a good metabolism, we don’t have to fill up with liquids, but listen to our body.
If we feel sluggish, bloated, dizzy and nauseous after drinking, we shouldn’t drink. It is a hoax that when we are thirsty our body is already dehydrated, just as it is a hoax to think that if we are hungry it is actually because we are thirsty. In general, if you eat a lot of fruit and vegetables and drink other liquids (milk, kefir, yogurt or even tea) like me, there is no need to drink enough to make your pee clear and crystalline. Frequent urination is a symptom of slow metabolism. You should urinate every 4 hours. And our pee must be a normal straw yellow. In this last month I have read 3 books where the story of the eight glasses of water is disputed. Three!Â
I know you think. But dieticians and nutritionists say they drink a lot. Sure, I said so too. And I did. But it is irrefutable that we should not be stressed about eating, not eating, drinking or drinking when we don’t feel the need. Video:  Are you drinking too much water from Matt Stone
