Intestinal flora diet: -8 kg in 4 weeks

How to lose weight, and specifically lose fat mass, increase metabolism and immune defenses in one go, perhaps without a specific diet? The answer is simple.
The bacterial flora must be improved with a specific diet.
That is, the diet of the bacterial flora.

Dr. Gerard Mullin, a gastroenterologist and associate professor of Internal Medicine at John Hopkins University, talks about it.

In fact, Dr. Mullin wrote a book entitled ” The Gut Balance Revolution “ , in which he explains how in the light of new scientific research, our intestinal flora plays a key role both in determining our body weight and in regulating metabolism and of health.

THE INTESTINAL FLORA DIET FOR SLIMMING

  • If our body does not get rid of the flab easily, the fault lies with the intestine.
  • Do we have a slow metabolism and do we gain weight at the sight of food? The fault would be the intestine.
  • The same thing happens when we feel that we are intolerant to everything, or when anything we put in our mouth causes us to swell and constipation or fluid retention.

Dr. Gerard Mullin’s thesis is fascinating.
The key word for the health of our intestine is in fact the balance of the various families of bacteria that populate it. This is to prevent the so-called bad bacteria from outgrowing the good ones.

But how do you improve the bacterial flora to lose weight?

Mullin develops a diet of bacterial flora divided into PHASES.

  • In the first phase, according to him, it is necessary to follow a diet with a low content of fodmap, that is, a reduction of those foods that contain groups of sugars that cause bloating, constipation and finally overweight in the most sensitive subjects. Via wheat, via cereals with gluten (no barley, rye), products with added gluten, dairy products that contain lactose (ok aged cheeses, rice milk or soy), via legumes apart from fresh peas. No cauliflower, artichokes, iceberg lettuce, asparagus, onions and fennel. No to honey, white sugar or stevia is better. No pistachios. No to grapes, peaches, avocados, unripe bananas, watermelon, apples and pears. Yes to citrus fruits, papaya, pineapple, melon, red fruits, ripe bananas.
Yes to pumpkin, courgettes, aubergines, peppers, potatoes, spinach, endive, celery.
Ok rice, oats in moderation, corn, quinoa and buckwheat. Meat and fish and eggs or tofu are ok.
Not because foods are not to be demonized, but because if we have already compromised intestinal flora, temporarily removing these foods allows us to reduce negative bacteria.
  • Always in the first phase all cheeses are also eliminated.

BACTERIAL FLORA DIET: PHASE ONE

It lasts 30 days and makes you lose up to 8 kilos.
The quantities in the diet are free, but beware: each meal must have a protein resource.
For example: quinoa or rice with vegetables, a teaspoon of oil and chicken breast.
Let’s see an example on page two with an indication also for the quantities.
