On the occasion of the IFA in Berlin 2019 , AVM showed the public new devices dedicated not only to networking but also to home automation . During the conference, the new FRITZ! Box 5550 and FRITZ! Box 5530 were presented in terms of fiber optic connectivity . The new devices support data transfer within the LAN ( Gigabit Ethernet mode ), thanks to the support of WiFi 6 and the presence of a 2.5 Gbps fast LAN port . Also on the subject of networking, FRITZ! Box 6660 Cable was presented, ensuring support for WiFi 6 for connections via DOCSIS 3.1 cable, and the  FRITZ! Box 6850 5G , the world’s first all-in-one router for home networks with 5G support .
Let’s now move on to devices dedicated to smart homes . During the presentation three different devices were announced:
- FRITZ! DECT 500:  smart bulb that can be managed completely independently of previous models,  via app ( FRITZ! App Smart Home ), via FRITZ! Fon and using the web browser .
- FRITZ! DECT 440: this is a new button, which compared to previous versions has multiple scenarios and a display, which will allow you to control the other  FRITZ! DECT devices .
- FRITZ! Repeater 3000/2400/1200/600 , also renewed the family of  WiFi Mesh repeaters, allowing users to easily and effectively extend the coverage range of their wireless networks.
During the IFA in Berlin ,  AVM paused to talk about the new WiFi 6 technology, or better known as 802.11ax . The new standard will offer higher data rates, additional bands, improved wireless channel management, improved energy efficiency and top performance even in the most densely populated areas.
