HUAWEI P30 – REVIEW OF THE NEW HIGH-END DEVICE

Among the high-end devices, the Huawei P30 is one of the best devices in terms of price quality

Only in December we talked about the younger brother of this little gem, but today it is the time to analyze one of the smartphones with value for money among the best in circulation. We are talking about the Huawei P30 , which also flanked by its improved version Huawei P30 Pro , go to seal once again (as if it were needed) the Chinese brand among the best in the field of modern telephony, managing to dedicate itself to all kinds of clientele.

Packaging

No epochal news regarding the external casing of our device. The package that protects the device is the usual rigid box, enriched with internal compartments, in which we can also find the default accessories: the transparent silicone cover , the headphones , and the charger up to 22.5W .

Design

Elegant and with a not exaggerated thickness, Huawei P30 has all the credentials to not go unnoticed . The long space in which the rear cameras are inserted, however, creates a small difference in height, a step that could be annoying to most when the device is placed in the pocket. The lines are sinuous, a feature that however could go in contrast with the excessive retention of fingerprints by the back of the device. The screen is extremely pleasant to the touch, and the weight of the mobile is 165 g.

The dimensions of the P30 are 71.36mm in width, 149.1mm in height and 7.57mm in thickness. The colors in which the Chinese jewel is available are 3, namely Aurora , Black , and Breathing Crystal .

Performance

Even under stress the device responds well and maintains an excellent speed, also thanks to its 6 Gigabytes of RAM. The only regret is those 2 Gigabytes more that you could win with the Pro version of the P30, but which in front of such performances seem almost superfluous. The test also took place by straining the device during excited gaming sessions, in addition to the classic daily life. Even if the device’s heating is slightly high, the cons for this sector are very few.

Camera

But we come to what is undoubtedly the strong point of this piece. The P30’s camera guarantees its photos an excellent quality in all conditions (including night), and with the possibility of taking advantage of the 16 megapixel wide-angle lens. The only discordant note is found within the marked loss of quality using the 30X digital zoom. Furthermore, the 32 megapixel front camera is not far behind, with a remarkable quality between selfies and the like. The real news, however, comes in the video field, historically one of the weaknesses of the brand: this time with the P30 we are able to reach the 4K resolution at 30 fps .

Display

Good performance of the 6.1-inch OLED display, which in combo with the camera, manages to adapt to various situations, thanks to a brightness that makes it suitable for use sessions in dark environments, but also very visible and bright at the open.

Autonomy

Battery life is undoubtedly one of the key points of a mobile device nowadays. With fast charging the P30 will reach 100% charge in about 75 minutes and, enjoying a 3,650 mAh battery, the autonomy of this device in normal situations allows you to end your day without worries. However, if the use proves less stressful, clearly the estimated autonomy is even greater.

Price

The launch price of the product is set at € 799.90, but it is already possible to win the P30 even for a hundred euros less. According to the proposed performance, the price of this smartphone is already excellent, but if in the coming months the device were to undergo a further cut it would stand as one of the high-end smartphones with the best value for money ever.
