Starting today at 16:00 local time, the pre-order for Valve ‘s augmented reality viewer , the HTC Vive , has been made available .
The price of the viewer is $ 799, which converts to € 899 for Italy and more: you also need to add the shipping costs, which on the official website amount to € 74.42; total € 973.42 . A really not very accessible price, higher than the Oculus Rift (price for Italy: 699 €) even if partially justified by the presence of two motion controllers and two sensors useful for tracking your room (space required 4 × 3 meters ).
In addition to the not really accessible cost, you must also remember the requirements to be able to use the viewer on your PC, we report them below:
- GPU: GeForce GTX 970 or better
- Processor: Intel Core i5 4590 or higher
- RAM: 8 GB
- Operating system: Windows 7 SP1 or newer
- Outputs: 2x USB 3.0 and 1x HDMI
