How to detoxify the liver in 3 days
Just three days to have a healthier liver: how to do it and why is it important?
Detoxifying the liver is essential for two reasons.
- One, few people know that the liver signals the body to lower energy expenditure through sentinel proteins. An intoxicated liver equates to a slower metabolism.
- Two, the liver is a very important organ for fat and sugar management. But also of certain toxins.
When the liver gets tired, we will have more problems with high triglycerides and high cholesterol.Â
There is no need for concoctions or shakes, or special supplements to detoxify the liver.
These three days of diet will serve you when you return from a holiday period, after having eaten more, after the holidays such as December or Easter.
If you feel fatigue, bad breath, a tendency to feel sleepy after eating, dull skin and a bloated bowel, taking care of your liver with these tips could solve most of your symptoms right away.
A healthy liver by itself doesn’t need any food detox.
But as soon as we are aware that we have gone too far (or are preparing to do so), that we have drunk or have eaten too much fried and cured meats, it is time to indulge in this small wellness treatment for three days.
HOW TO DETOXIFY THE LIVER IN 3 DAYS
- Start the day with a glass of water with half a lemon squeezed, and immediately after breakfast drink a cup of light tea sweetened with a teaspoon of honey or chicory coffee.
-
For breakfast, drink a glass of fresh grapefruit juice (not from concentrate) or eat 200 grams of grapefruit.
I know you don’t like grapefruit, you have to eat it.
You can choose it in the pink variant.
With grapefruit, combine some proteins: 150 grams of skimmed Greek yogurt also delactosed with a little stevia or 150 grams of egg white omelette with 10 grams of defatted cooked ham. -
During the rest of the day, drink this blend to cleanse yourself.
Half a liter of water and half a liter of aloe vera juice: the acemannan and anthraquinones of aloe vera have purifying and regenerating properties.
-
For lunch and dinner, eat a large side dish of green leafy vegetables, such as wild herbs, chard, chicory or turnip greens .
If you find them wild it is better, because they are also bitter.
When it’s in season, you can alternate these vegetables with a dish of steamed artichokes.
In this case, also drink the cooking water of the artichokes during the day. Cynarin is a liver cleanser.
Cook the vegetables like this: give them a short boil after washing them well, then sauté them in a pan with garlic and 2 teaspoons of oil.
Garlic promotes purification. - We can eat 150 grams of protein food such as grilled meat, fish or natural tofu plus a side of vegetables.
- Finish lunch and dinner with 200 grams of cooked apple or cooked pear or 200 grams of blueberries with a level teaspoon of honey or raw cane sugar.
These combinations are perfect and will also help deflate the belly.
- In the afternoon, drink a citrus juice with a teaspoon of honey, and finally, after meals, make a dandelion tea.
Dine early.
Alcohol, stir-fries, smoked or cured foods should be avoided for three days as well as sweets. - Before going to bed, a warm or warm bath (depending on the season) with half a cup of English or epsom salt will help purify, deflate you and help eliminate toxins.
