How to detoxify the body in January?
Let’s face it. January is a very special month, hard, if you like. There is a bit ‘on the boxes, January. It is the month of good intentions, the month of great hopes for change, the month of the diet and the return to the work routine. Plus it’s cold.
Many of us in January are pushed to improve, and then return to the old habits more discontented than before.
But what if instead of following a diet that we will then abandon to the first Carnival treat, we found a simple and painless way to detoxify the body from the excesses of December?
And so lose some weight too?
Nothing difficult, as I said. And we can take advantage of a dietary trend that has become a trend abroad since the end of last month.
The dry January .
You may be wondering what that means. Now I’ll explain it to you.
HOW TO DETOXIFY YOUR ORGANISM STANDO… DRY
Dry January is a month when we don’t touch a drop of alcohol. For all four weeks. Or counting four weeks from when you start.
According to a recent analysis conducted by YouGov , it would be enough to abstain from any alcoholic drink, even light, for 31 days to detoxify the body, lose weight and improve sleep and skin quality.
Maybe many of you already drink a little, and will ask themselves: but why deny yourself a beer on Saturday or a cocktail with an aperitif?
Because often these occasions lead us to eat a lot more but also metabolize a lot less.
And that’s not all. It seems that those who want to lose weight or try to stay on a diet tend to drink a little more.
With a glass of alcohol we tend to introduce more food , due to both dehydration and the sense of “effervescence” from drinking, which leads us to feel hungrier. I explain everything that happens at the metabolic level in this article.
Ending up bingeing one day a week eating chips and various snacks, just to accompany them with the drink, and then making amends six days a week, only adds stress to a stressful month of its own.
In addition, alcoholic drinks are caloric: I’ll explain how much caloric here . But if you cut the alcohol in that occasional drink or in your daily routine, you will automatically eat less and at the same time help your liver. Plus you will burn more calories. Sometimes it’s the small steps that allow us to go far.
However, if the glass of wine helps you relax, try the new de-alcoholic wine . Only 9 calories per glass and zero alcohol, but the manufacturing process is the same as for wine.
Otherwise, you can maximize this great little January goodbye by starting drinking some flavored waters.
Sassy water and Fat Flash are two incredible allies to purify and deflate quickly, and are more than just a glass of water, because they are rich in citrus and spices. A little whim that will allow you to hydrate properly and avoid drinking alcohol altogether for 4 weeks.
