How to clean up your liver and lose weight in 10 days
Today we see the advice of the famous Dr. Oz to cleanse the liver and lose weight through his specific program for those suffering from enlarged or fatigued liver. The program, called The Liver Rebound , is a ten-day scheme that sees the collaboration of dietician Kristin Kirkpatrick to cleanse the liver and lose some weight. The program focuses on eliminating certain substances, including alcohol and glucose-fructose syrup, to relieve the liver, and the introduction of certain foods that instead help detox and also promote weight loss.
HOW TO CLEAN THE LIVER IN 10 DAYS WITH THE LIVER REBOUND
1) Give your liver a little breath: eliminate alcohol and excess sugar. In fact, not only alcohol but a diet too rich in simple sugars and in particular in fructose lead the liver to work poorly and swell (non-alcoholic fatty liver disease), causing hypertriglyceridemia. But why should we have an excess of fructose? Often, the enemy, if we can say so, is the sugar used by the industries, the so-called glucose-fructose syrup. It has been seen that in a context of overweight and a high calorie diet, excess fructose can damage the liver. This theory is still debated, in reality, but the advice is to limit simple sugars in addition to alcohol.
So we eliminate alcohol, excess sugars in all forms: from biscuits to sweetened yoghurt to bars and sweets. 2) Drink warm water and lemon juice: During the day, drink more than a cup of hot water acidulated with lemon juice to reduce inflammation. 3) Eat green leafy vegetables: Eat at least two servings a day of leafy vegetables, especially bitter. One portion for lunch and one for dinner, boiled and seasoned with a little raw oil. Other vegetables: artichokes, preferably raw beets and thistles. 4) Use a probiotic for breakfast + a portion of red fruits: start the day with a probiotic (for example a glass of milk or kefir water) and a portion of red fruits such as blueberries.
