In this guide dedicated to the new exclusive PlayStation Horizon Forbidden West , we want to help you find all the Longhills in the game! Obviously we will try to avoid all possible spoilers , but in some cases we will be forced to make specific references, so continue reading only if you really need them.
The Collilunghi are, as in the first chapter, really important points of observation . Their function is to unlock all the points of interest in a certain area of the immense game map, so as to give the user a strong help during the exploration phase.
We would like to underline that in order to deepen the subject we are forced to make spoilers on some aspects of Horizon Forbidden West, therefore we invite you to continue with particular attention.
Here is the guide to finding the Long Hills in Horizon Forbidden West!
The Collilunghi in Horizon Forbidden West are fewer than those present in the first chapter ( and in the Death Stranding easter egg ), but their climb is very different than in the past. We would like to clarify that the last one will be available only after a particular event, so if you want to find them immediately at the beginning of the game it will be normal not to find it.
As in the first chapter you will have to climb them to activate their functional, but compared to the past this session is a little more or complex . In fact, in addition to taking advantage of the classic parkour, you will have to climb into real areas and dodge the machines that will obstruct you. In addition to this problem, also arm yourself with patience because it will be very difficult to get the timing right to get the whole climb right on the first attempt, so you will often find yourself waiting for the Collolungo to finish the lap before returning to the right trajectory.
Collolungo 1: Cinabro sands
You will find this on your way and to reach it you will have to pass a very dangerous area. To go up it, you will first have to climb some sort of satellite structure; once done, climbing any stairs (blocked, but just shoot the block to make them go down) and climbing to the top. As you advance, you will have to go to the back of this dish to take a battery, bring it to the ground and insert it into the compartment to power the mechanisms.
Once done, you can make this structure move, unlocking it to be able to climb to the top and jump, once arrived, on the Collolungo.
Collolungo 2: The Still Sands
From the second on you will have to work a little more to reach the top of the collilunghi. In this case, to go up you will first have to search for two bodies in the surrounding area (just use the focus). Once found, you can then be taken to a ballista: scan the neck, find the weak point on the back and shoot it to anchor it with three weights (you will therefore have to do it three times, with three different ballistae).
Once hit with all three ballistae, the long neck will drop, and you can override to get information without having to climb the car.
Collolungo 3: Watch of the Sentinels
Before starting the climb on this one, it’s best to kill all the cars around, otherwise some might attack you by surprise. In case you opt to go up immediately, however, during this climb there will be some stairs to unlock, useful for creating short routes in the event of a fall.
Take the research area, go to the center and start climbing the logs: use the focus to see the climbing areas, it will come in handy. Once you get to the top, you will be at the height of the back of the neck, and for this you can climb on it: you will not have arrived, however, as you will only have to use it as a means of locomotion to jump onto another wooden platform.
From there continue the climb, take the stairs down when needed, get to the top, use the rope to go to the other platform, and then wait for the collolungo to approach to climb on it.
Collolungo 4: Landing
You start to go underwater: go down by diving, use the scan and find purple dots on the submerged neck. You will notice that two parts are missing: this will be the puzzle to solve in this case.
Go back up, go to the platform that is in the direction of the long neck, shoot the various locks that block the stairs, use the box to move by throwing it into the water and moving it under the newly unlocked ladder. To do this you will have to go around, go behind the building, get into the crack created by the broken wall and use the grappling hook.
Climb the ladder, continue the climb and at the top you will find the first nest where the first piece of the collolungo will be. You will also see another building: that will be the location of the second piece. Go there, use the grappling hook, climb to the top and there will be a second nest.
Then go down from the collolungo, put the two missing parts and it will get up, walking towards the ruins. Make the ruins, move down underwater and then go up in front of the stairs. Move trying to reach the highest platform, and from there jump onto the long neck.
Collolungo 5: Sparkling Desert
This collolongo will have to be unlocked in the main quest “The Wings of the Ten”, so there is not much to understand, just follow the directions given by the mission.
Collolungo 6: Morsalate
This will be in the IOTA Cauldron – it won’t be marked on the map, but once inside you will find it as your main objective.
