After being anticipated during the IFA 2018, Honor Magic 2 was officially unveiled on October 31st. The smartphone is equipped with octa-core  Kirin 980 , 6/8 GB  of LPDDR4X RAM and  128/256 GB  of internal memory. Accompanying the   6.39-inch  AMOLED display , with  Full HD + resolution  and 19: 9 ratio, we find a special sliding mechanism that covers the internal cameras, allowing the device to be totally borderless. Under the screen, however, we find the fingerprint reader. The 3500 mAh battery supports the new  Magic Charge  fast charge from 40W and wireless charging .
On the back of the device, we find a triple camera from  16 + 24 + 16 mega-pixels , consisting of a main sensor, one monochrome and a third with  Ultra Wide Angle . There are also AI features  such as scene recognition and various optimizations when taking photos. Also present the night mode and AIS stabilization . As for the front camera, this allows  3D biometric recognition  – even in the dark – through the use of an infrared sensor, a Dot projector and a  16 mega-pixel sensor .
With the debut of Honor Magic 2, we will also get to know YOYO , the company’s new voice assistant , and the new Magic UI 2.0 interface . Thanks to AI, the device will be able to recognize the owner’s voice. There is also an instant translator , which can also be used during calls. The assistant will be able to monitor nutrition, recognizing foods and evaluating their caloric content. There is also a mode that will give you advice on how to care for your skin, by scanning your face.
As for connectivity, the smartphone is equipped with a 4G dual SIM module, Bluetooth 5.0, Dual Band Wi-Fi and  Dual Frequency GPS  via the  Hi1103 chip, which allows a download speed of 1.7 Gbps. A new navigation system, called  HiGeo , has also been introduced for an even more precise experience.
