Origins and description of  holistic stretching
These are not just physical stretches, but real exercises that involve the person considering him as a holistic unit . In all gymnastics the individual is considered in his emotional and spiritual integrity.Â
The purposes of holistic stretching are to  firm and tone the body with warm-up, stretching and dance-movement exercises, you learn breathing techniques, visualization, energy recharge and voice management that rebalance the Chakras , the energy centers located in the body.Â
As old as the meridian theory, this discipline was originally practiced under the name of Makko-Ho and was used to loosen the joints and release the muscles. In the West it has been revived by expanding the vast system of gentle or medical gymnastics which in the past had a purely physical nuance.
What is it for?
With a well-performed holistic stretching you go to work on the  deep muscles , the one close to the bones.Â
It is an excellent practice for the  release of the joints  and for the psychophysical balance . It removes  the energy blocks that hinder the relationship with the Other from oneself.Â
The benefits of constant practice are many:  the energy blocks that cause muscle tension pain such as sciatica, low back pain, neck pain and states of discomfort such as insomnia , overweight, water retention and cellulite are dissolved.

In holistic stretching the work is of sensory training . After a phase of preparation and warming up, we go to act  on the diaphragm and global re-education of the respiratory movement, we carry out stretches ( to get to use the deep muscles, the superficial one is stretched well), deep stretches , strengthening, visualizations (but this depends a lot on who leads the lesson).
Sometimes the operator can use tools such as stability balls, physiotherapy balls or rubber bands.
Who can operate in ItalyÂ
The discipline has very ancient origins but has been taken up by many holistic practitioners who deal with movement disciplines and body therapies. You can find many courses in Italy that offer training in holistic stretching and this great magma does not allow to identify a real recognized and official training school.
We recommend that you go to someone who has experience, sensitivity and listening, as well as a fairly important background in physical and psychological disciplines and a  sound knowledge of anatomy.Â
