Healthy is beautiful, diet recipes: Giada Todesco’s book
Giada Todesco , famous influencer in the wellness and lifestyle sector and sister of Taylor Mega, has written a book of recipes with an enlightening title.
It is called ” Healthy is beautiful ” (Mondadori), and is a volume that contains 50 recipes to live in shape, thanks to a healthy and natural diet. Known TV presenter (the title of the book takes the name of the new program on Sky ), Todesco arrives in the bookstore with a solution to find the ideal physical shape through daily recipes, with quality ingredients but easily available.
These are in fact variations of traditional recipes, but in a “fit” key.
What does it mean? It means that these recipes have fewer calories, and that, depending on the type, they can be egg or gluten-free, lactose-free, vegan or vegetarian.
HEALTHY IS BEAUTIFUL: THE TODESCO BOOK OF JADE
In fact, Todesco makes it clear in the book that she is not a nutritionist or a personal trainer, but that she wants to share her passion for healthy eating and her recipes for staying fit with people.
Before the recipes, there is a short chapter where the foods used and their properties are explained: from the various types of wholemeal flour to the alternatives to dairy products and eggs.
The strength of the book?
Surely the simplicity and ease of the recipes. For each recipe we find calories and nutritional values.
At the end of each recipe, the opinion of a nutritionist.
The thing that I would have personally improved is a greater care in the description of the ingredients, for example in the doses (for example I would have put a teaspoon or a spoon instead of “a drizzle” of oil). Portions are indicated by forks. If you see two forks, the recipe is for two.
Below I publish one, that of the vegan zucchini fritters, which, as you will see, is very simple to make.

VEGAN ZUCCHINI PANCAKES
Ingrediants. Servings: 2
2 ZUCCHINI
50 GRAMS OF CORN ALREADY BOILED
3 SPOONS OF RICE FLOUR
EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL (one spoon *)
SALT AND PEPPER
Grate the zucchini, combine them with the corn and flour, add salt and pepper. Make balls from the mixture. Heat a little oil on a non-stick pan, place the balls and carefully turn the pancakes after they are golden on one side, cook evenly on the other side and place them on a sheet of absorbent paper. Use a spatula as they have no eggs and are delicate.
* Dcomedieta’s advice: customize the recipe with fresh mint, which goes very well with zucchini. You can bring them to the table with a teaspoon of low-fat yogurt mixed with a hint of curry or sweet paprika.
