Headache, salty food among the causes
The causes of headaches as we know are many: stress, lack of sleep, smoking, alcohol, blood pressure, vision problems, and for those suffering from migraines also neurological complications. For some years, however, experts have been affirming that even the diet can cause headaches : fast food and too fatty foods had already been accused, but from now on one more enemy, and more generic than pizzas, hamburgers and chips, is the salt.
According to a study sponsored by  the Johns Hopkins Welch Center for Prevention, Epidemiology and Clinical Research , eating salty would increase the risk of having a headache by thirty percent. Those who consume about eight grams of salt a day, that is, eat industrial products and usually tasty dishes, therefore have a third more chance of getting a headache than those who consume four grams. In fact, the study found that people who generally eat savory or salty (not too much if you consider that our Western diet is peacefully too salty for everyone) have more frequent headaches.
The causes why salt would lead to headaches are still unknown, however .
