He goes on a potato diet to lose the extra pounds
Inspired perhaps by the film The Martian, and much more likely by the story of Chris Voigt  (potato farmer who, tired of being told that potatoes made you fat, lost 35 kilos by eating only those ), Andrew Taylor, overweight boy who tried them all to lose weight, he told the press that he will eat nothing but potatoes for a whole year (to be exact, for 366 days), so as to lose all his extra pounds (about seventy, since when he started he weighed over 151 kilos).
Andrew’s potato diet consists of eating all kinds of potatoes (sweet, purple, etc.) and potato skins for breakfast, lunch and dinner, seasoned with a little butter or oil, herbs, spices, and a little fortified soy milk. with calcium to make mashed potatoes (but not as food) or with some sauce to create other dishes (for example potato noodles). To motivate himself, Andrew has launched a youtube channel where he films and explains his menu every day. In order not to have health problems, Andrew has decided to be followed by a dietician and have frequent tests to monitor himself, stating that in case of nutritional deficiencies he will stop doing the potato diet.. Which, at the moment, is working: in a month Andrew has lost about ten kilos. Will he be able to lose another sixty over the course of the year? In the meantime, for those who want, I am not saying try the potato diet in a drastic version, but you can make a potato diet really easy and effective: just replace the pasta or rice or the portion of cereals for lunch (or dinner if you eat pasta at dinner) with a potato weighing up to 200 grams, to be eaten boiled or baked, preferably with the peel, and combined with a vegetable side dish. A meal replacement that may surprise you with its benefits!Â
