The 5-day Harcombe diet is a five-day lightning diet that Dr. Zoe Harcombe, a doctor specializing in obesity, famous for her eponymous and basically low-carb diet, has created for free for those who want to lose weight quickly after eating too much during the holidays or who previously wanted to lose weight and then indulge in whims with more freedom. Here is the pattern to follow for five days.

THE 5 DAY HARCOMBE DIET FOR CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR’S EVE

(to do before or after the holidays)

Rules: the quantities are free, with the only rule of not eating too much.
The toppings use a maximum of one tablespoon of oil or coconut oil per meal.
Sugar is not allowed. Herbal teas and teas are free during the day as long as you use a sweetener.
You can drink a glass of water acidulated with lemon juice before breakfast.
A supplement of vitamins and mineral salts is essential.

DAY 1
Breakfast: two scrambled eggs with ham or bresaola, coffee or tea
Lunch: a portion of salmon with stir-fried mixed vegetables (no mushrooms, carrots or potatoes: it goes for every time you read mixed vegetables) plus a mixed green salad 

Dinner: 50 grams of brown rice (weighed from raw and then cooked) with mixed vegetables sautéed in olive oil.

DAY 2
Breakfast: 100 grams of brown puffed rice with no added sugar in a cup of green tea or water flavored with lemon juice or coffee or a teaspoon of cocoa and spices plus sweetener.
Lunch: mixed salad with natural tuna, olives, one or two eggs, green salad
Dinner: beef steak with mixed vegetables sautéed in olive oil.
