Giveit100: videos to start losing weight
An interesting project, which although it is written in English, is very intuitive because it is based on simple videos: it is called Giveit100, literally “give it100” or “give it100” where for 100 we mean 100 days to start losing weight by choosing any sport activity ( walking is OK too) and posting a video every day of recording progress. The project, born from Karen X. Cheng and Finbarr Taylor, has two objectives: the first, to encourage as many people as possible to play sports to start losing weight and improve their health by relying on social sharing (the platform also has a channel Instagram); the second, to motivate people to do the same by watching the videos of the other participants. And that’s exactly what I’d like to talk about today.
Motivation is very important to start losing weight , and looking at the examples of those who have allowed themselves 100 days doing any activity is a way to realize how, if others can do it, perhaps starting from scratch or from obesity and overweight conditions. heavier than ours, then you could do it too. Every time I share the stories of people who have lost even 50 and up to 70 kilos starting from different eating habits and simple gestures, such as starting to walk two hours a day or start cooking meals at home, with an eye to quality and making more natural choices, before and after photos push readers to ask me: is it true? But have they done bariatric surgery? And of course the answer is no.
There are very few people who can afford surgery for obesity compared to those who suffer from obesity but decide to do something: it is therefore much more frequent to find people who begin to lose weight by improving their life and deciding to get up from the couch. Giveit100 videos (go to giveit100.com and click on videos above, or subscribe to the instagram channel here ) can be an incentive to start losing weight, having the humility and patience to simply try and not give up.
