Get back in shape with Sara Farnetti’s 5 rules
I have already spoken to you in this article by Dr. Farnetti . And in many others.
Internal medicine specialist and nutritionist with several television collaborations and publications behind her, Dr. Sara Farnetti is an expert in functional nutrition.
- Functional nutrition is a dietary approach that is based on the variety of foods, the importance of nutrients to lose weight and the functionality of certain foods and certain combinations of foods to promote health and a healthy weight.
In fact, the two things are always connected, and this is the reason why our ideal weight is the consequence of a healthy diet, and not just a “diet”. In this article we see the 5 golden rules to get back in shape for the summer , taken from the site of Dr. Farnetti .
Why follow them? Because they are not the usual rules, and because unfortunately in Italy they are not adequately widespread!
5 RULES TO GET BACK IN SHAPE ACCORDING TO FARNETTI
- No to products prepared with vegetable fats.
Vegetable fats such as palm oil, rapeseed oil, sunflower oil are present in many baked goods and confectionery, but not only are they not good for health because of poor quality, these oils lower the metabolism causing inflammation. Let’s clean up the pantry of this crap. Do you have doubts? Check the labels. We cook only with extra virgin olive oil. - Reduce the glycemic load of meals: stop associating carbohydrates with each other (bread and pasta, pasta and potato) and avoid excess sugar.
- Eat seasonal fruit and vegetables. Raw fruit and vegetable snacks are a panacea for our body: they help detoxify us, they contain antioxidants, they hydrate us, they are a holy hand for the liver, intestines, kidneys. In particular, we always take advantage of seasonality.
- No to an excess of animal fats.
The liver struggles to dispose of them, and a fatigued liver does not help metabolism, but slows down everything: from digestion to the assimilation of macro and micronutrients. We avoid eating more animal proteins together, using lard or cream. - Do not impoverish food.
Try to keep the nutritional value of food intact, or almost! Avoid long cooking and elaborate processes, prefer quick and simple cooking, do not buy anything ready-made, from soups to sauces, or pre-cooked frozen foods. Do you want to discover Dr. Farnetti’s method to get back in shape?
