Performing a foot massage is an ancient gesture. It seems that the Egyptians already contemplated figures dedicated to this type of activity. However, it is the Chinese who refine the art of massage and specialize the foot as a reflexogenic area from which to re-establish the balance of the whole body. In fact, all the nerve endings that lead back to the whole organism are found in the foot. Using a map, a precise point on which to intervene is identified and a distant point is acted upon. This is foot reflexology . An almost specialist approach.
But the feet may receive less refined attention. The feet are a  delicate , precious structure, essential for a good quality of life, which is subjected to inevitable daily overload. They therefore deserve to be the object of attention and to be treated with care. The existence of reflex reactions to a contact is not only the subject of reliable reports by doctors, but a very common banal experience. A nice warm bath, a good foot massage are always followed by a very pleasant and relaxing sensation.

The foot massage is the subject of a famous dialogue in the film Pulp Fiction , directed by Quentin Tarantino. Let’s see how to perform a simple foot massage.
It is good to warm the environment around us. Then take a towel and spread it out on a soft surface such as an armchair. Therefore, equip yourself with a moisturizing oil or find out about some specific lotion for foot massage. Heat the oil in your hands by rubbing them and distribute it all over the foot, massaging it, starting from the toes and reaching the ankles, with energetic and long-lasting movements. Insist at least one minute on each finger, making circular movements. On the sole , instead, insist on those bones that go from the toes to the heel . Another suggested movement is to rub your feet up and down in your hands.
As far as the arch of the foot is concerned , it should be massaged with the knuckles of the hand, and then passed to the palm reaching the fingers. The upper part of the foot, the neck, is massaged slowly until it reaches the lower end of the calf, making circular movements around the ankles . He finally extends your foot, stretching yourself, bending your toes backwards.
