Energizing supplements what exactly are they?
Energizing supplements are a type of supplement, often with natural ingredients, so called because they give us energy and stimulate us to be more active , for example if we go through a period of stress or fatigue or are apathetic.
In reality, a supplement is never energizing in the strict sense, because it does not give us energy: the only thing that gives us energy is in fact food, in the form of calories, and only some of these energizers are also food, while good part they are not. In fact, the term is misleading: if it does not give us calories, for example in the form of sugars, how does a supplement give us energy? How does it provide it to us? How does it make us feel more energetic and active?  We can say that
honey is energizing, not coffee . That chocolate is energizing, not ginseng.
For heaven’s sake, some of these so-called energizers have micronutrients useful for fighting stress, for example particular antioxidant substances: but if you think that an antioxidant substance can “give you” energy, eat a handful of goji berries instead of pasta and let’s see if they appease your hunger.
Even by law there are no guarantees as to which supplement or product can be named in this way, so under this definition we find a little anything. I will try to enclose the various substances contained in the energizing supplements under broad categories , so that anyone can get an idea of ​​what to chooseand why (or maybe not choose it at all). Continued on page two.Â
