Eating healthy and losing weight are not the same thing
In recent years , the idea of clean eating has been very successful : giving up industrial foods, often not only used for breakfasts and as snacks, but also in other main meals (ready-made meals, spreadable cheese, croquettes, etc.), many people have lost weight, losing weight in a healthy way and rediscovering the value of home-cooked foods, fruit, vegetables but also fresh meat and fish and not from intensive farming, the local instead of the industrial, and many foods such as almonds , dried fruit, berries and oil seeds which, if previously “decorated” the surface of sandwiches or certain festive sweets, are now an integral part of smoothies, muesli, bars and many other “functional nutrition” products. But just as healthy eating is important for healthOf course, healthy eating and losing weight are not the same thing . What I mean is that if you learn to eat healthily, you are not necessarily going to lose weight.
Now I’ll explain the reasons.
WHY EATING HEALTHY AND LOSING ARE NOT THE SAME THING
1) Losing weight and staying healthy are NOT the same thing: your ideal weight, the idea you have of yourself with 5 or 10 kilos less may not coincide with what Mother Nature wants for you and above all that it judges healthy. A healthy body is indeed a strong body (but even here, the opposite is not true). Just as it is not said that if you lose weight then it automatically means that you are doing something healthy or good for your body (indeed, it depends on the case), it is not at all certain that being overweight is necessarily linked to diseases and greater health risks. There are people in perfect health who are slightly overweight.
2) If you lose weight at the expense of health, you will regain weight:this is very likely. You may have heard, for example, that good physical shape cannot exist without health, and that if we want to lose weight but have health problems, it would be more logical to fix these problems first, and then lose weight. Often, health problems and weight problems coincide. So, yes, this is true: being in perfect health is the essential condition for losing weight once and for all. But that may not be the sufficient condition. That is, it may not be enough. Otherwise all people in perfect health would be in size 40.
