Dr Nagumo’s Japanese diet for weight loss
Little is said about it in Italy, but Dr. Nagumo’s Japanese diet has already existed for some years.
It was in fact 2015 when this surgeon published the book “Eat only once a day” (subtitle: hunger makes you healthy).
The book was also successful outside of Japan and we started talking about this “Japanese diet”, which is now coming to us too. What are the characteristics of this diet?
As you know, there is a diet called the “lean gene diet” or sirtuins diet, which for two years has been going crazy among stars and well-known faces: it made singer Adele and Pippa Middleton lose weight.
The Japanese diet and the lean gene diet have the same concept in common . And that is to activate the lean gene, or sirtuins, special enzymatic proteins.
That is, they have the task of regulating stress and aging, and affect thermogenesis, therefore on how much energy we burn.
Now, according to the sirtuins diet I talked about here, it is possible to activate these proteins by eating certain foods, including chocolate, wine, and buckwheat.
According to Dr. Nagumo, however, no:Â sirtuins are activated with fasting, or rather by increasing the hours of fasting compared to those in which you eat.
According to the doctor, this makes it easier to feed on the things the body needs and to distinguish much better belly hunger signals from nervous or emotional hunger.
