Don’t get too heavy, here’s how
I’m sorry, but this time I’m not going to tell you how to go out of your way happily and lose weight anyway: while admitting a few snags every now and then, if we want to lose weight it is necessary to avoid constant temptations, and on this I know many people who make mistakes. For example: if you cook pizzas and cakes or sweets at home for your husband or your children, you should be a superwoman so as not to be tempted by a piece , a bite of a cookie, a pastry. Each of us (I guess) looks for only one thing and also looks for it in the relationship with food: to be happy. If the extra pounds make you feel ashamed and sick, the sighing pastry can wait. Or don’t become a very stressful daily temptation. And since we are human and not invincible,we try to establish a few healthy rules to limit our whim to one meal a week if we want to lose weight. Here’s how to avoid falling into temptation too many times:
– clean the kitchen of crap: I understand that you are a housewife, but you can also cook a cake with wholemeal flour and very little sugar, instead of Nigella’s creamy and sugary desserts! You will do good for yourself and your family. Your kitchen doesn’t have to have pantries full of goodies. Otherwise, just one bite a day, a potato chip or a biscuit will make your diet nullified
-yes to the free meal: treat yourself to a reward meal every week: the hamburger, the plate of trenette with pesto, the dessert with coffee. Try not to overstretch the days before and do a workout the next day.
– relax: have you ever noticed that in front of good things and especially filth we lose our minds? And above all we are in a hurry to put something in our mouth, to devour them. You can fight this by looking at the plate in front of you for ten more seconds and saying “calm down, it’s just food”.
– eat as much as possible at home and prepare meals at home for work: we can also eat healthy in the restaurant, but in general the dishes in the restaurant are more seasoned and fatter than how you would make them. Eat at home and have a glass of wine outside. Same for work. Avoid taking a lunch break at the diner. Bring your own food (save money).
– skip the aperitif: I don’t know about you, but when there is an aperitif I binge. No problem if I don’t have to lose weight, but I’ve noticed that it’s not just me binging. That often rich and very greasy buffet does damage. At that point the restaurant is better.
