Does St. John’s wort oil have an expiry date or does it acquire value over time?

I am a lover of the properties of St. John’s wort oil which I feel the effectiveness of every day. I wanted to know if St. John’s wort oil has an expiry date or if, as my trusted herbalist told me, it acquires value over time.
