But today a study has scientifically analyzed hypnosis for weight loss : and found that hypnosis actually affects body weight. But how? The study, which appeared in the journal Nature, simply looked at various alternative methods of weight loss, from acupuncture to hypnosis to homeopathy. Discovering, in the case of hypnosis, that using it as a method to lose weight is a waste of time and money. People subjected to hypnosis to lose weight have in fact lost a kilo at the beginning of therapy, nothing of which taking into account the investment; but those who used hypnosis not to lose weight but to keep anxiety and stress under control, in other studies had weight loss as a “side effect”. The hypothesis of hypnotists is therefore confirmed: hypnosis for weight loss works only for those who use hypnosis for the control and management of stress, thus managing to limit the effects of this stress. And, taking into account that stress makes you fat , those who use hypnosis to reduce stress also tend to lose weight, indirectly.
