Does fruit make you fat?
Does fruit make you fat?Â
When to eat fruit?
Is there any fruit that makes you fat and fruit that makes you lose weight?
I will try to answer three of the questions that many people ask me in private.
Does fruit make you fat?
Fruit does not make you fat, but contains simple sugars, often in varying quantities between fructose and glucose. The problem with fruit is not that it makes you fat in itself, but is related to its digestion and certain times in which to eat it.
First of all, if you already eat carbohydrates during the day, reduce fruit to 2 servings per day, for a maximum of 300 grams in all.
If, on the other hand, you love fruit, cut down on the rest of the carbohydrates by eating less and eating them in separate meals than consuming fruit.
This is because eating fruit after a meal increases the glycemic load of the meal, reduces our ability to digest it properly (due to the type of fiber, because it is cold and watery, because it contains sugar) and tends to make us bloated.
Fruit therefore does NOT make you fat as long as we eat it after a protein meal or between meals, and in limited quantities.
