Do red fruits make you lose weight?

Eating particular types of fruits and vegetables would facilitate weight loss : in particular, this would be the case of  red fruits , according to a new study published in the British Medical Journal, which would confirm the fact that this type of fruit (a category to which strawberries, raspberries belong red, currants, blue and red blueberries, berries, cherries and, according to experts, even black grapes), would promote weight loss thanks to the presence of flavonoids and anthocyanins (substances also present in acai berries, for example) which would give them the characteristic red / bluish / purplish pigmentation.

These substances, antioxidants, would increase caloric expenditure and reduce the assimilation of fats. Clearly they do not work miracles on their own, experts explain, but if we are on a slimming diet, the use of these fruits, together with apples and pears and tea, can guarantee us those antioxidant effects that help metabolism and push the body to lose weight better.

The only drawback: red fruits, apart from those of the season (strawberries or cherries in their time, grapes in their time) are quite expensive. A suggestion could be the integration of juices, which we can dilute in water and drink during the day: the ideal is unsweetened juices, for example acerola juice, cranberry juice, cranberry juice. Also perfect against water retention
