Disorders in the knee area, what is it?

Stretching? Inflamed ligaments? Tendons? Meniscus? The difference between inflamed ligaments, tendons, or is it the meniscus? Good morning. Kindly I would like an opinion on this issue if possible. The orthopedist diagnosed me with a muscle strain. The knee was slightly swollen (the area), but not too much and it didn’t hurt too much, so, in addition to treating myself with ointments and things like that, without abusing, I cycled and walked, slowly, if I had better not to do it! Now I find myself with greater discomfort and therefore greater inflammation, even if the part does not appear to be swollen anyway. To me, however, doubts arose, given the symptoms, I thought it could also be the ligaments, or tendons and, more remotely, the meniscus, which in any case, in my opinion, although not of the profession, but for what I can know, perhaps, it would hurt more. I wanted, in fact, before starting to make plates etc., your kind opinion on the matter. Thank you so much and best regards. Anna Del Frate

Hello, in the face of an inflammation it is always useful to minimize any effort that would instead risk worsening it. I think it is useful to be seen by a specialist who, if he deems he will prescribe the plates, only then will I feel like giving you some remedies aimed at helping you in your problem, in the meantime try not to force the part. Cordial greetings

Loredana Tocalli

Dear reader, good morning, your symptoms are sincerely a bit generic and therefore it is difficult to be able to give you any advice other than common sense for an inflammation, how not to irritate the inflamed ligaments, with a little rest, no bicycle, compresses. colds and local use of Arnica ointment (powerful anti-inflammatory, anti-trauma and bruising remedy), but above all a specialist visit to establish a diagnosis, after appropriate instrumental analysis of the case. Only in this way will you be able to resort to the most appropriate treatments for your pathology and you will be able to decide to resort to homeopathic treatments (Arnica or Bryoniacould be a valid help) or even acupuncture sessions that are well suited to situations of joint inflammation. Do not wait to consult your doctor or orthopedic specialist, because these pathologies, if treated promptly, are generally resolved without particular consequences, but if neglected they can become a chronic problem. Sincerely, Dr. Loredana Tocalli, Homeopathic Surgeon and Acupuncturist
