Dietary diabetes, they discover the protein that causes it
An all-Italian discovery, that of the protein that would be responsible for dietary diabetes, or type 2 diabetes: it is called ” p66shc “, but it is also called the killer protein, and would have been identified by the team of experts of the University’s Department of Endocrinology of Bari, led by Professor  Francesco Giorgino . But how would this protein be triggered, and why does it cause dietary diabetes? In practice , the “p66shc” protein comes into play when we eat an excess of fatty acids, especially palmitic acid, the saturated acid contained in palm oil.
Fatty acids are responsible for an increase in this protein , which in turn kills the cells that produce insulin, causing hyperglycemia. Furthermore, there would be a correlation between fatty acids and the development of body fat, especially in the abdominal area. Not all people who have abdominal fat develop dietary diabetes, but no doubt those who have more body fat, including in the buttocks and thighs, also tend to develop type 2 diabetes.
