Diet for weight loss, here is the formula
The golden rule that is essential if you want to lose weight by going on a diet is only one, and it is very simple. If you based your diet on this formula, you would say goodbye to extra pounds and you would know immediately what it means to eat properly. Not only that, thanks to this formula , you would gain health, but you would probably lose all the pounds that afflict you, obtaining a healthy weight that is stable, not the effect of a yo-yo diet.
Now: You will think this formula was developed by an internationally renowned dietician or nutritionist. Well, no.
The problem with many dieticians, even incredibly good ones, is one: they don’t know how to communicate. Many people who develop diets may have fewer references than the dietician in your city or a trusted nutritionist: but they have someone who can write the texts on their side, believe me, and a couple of marketing men. Thus, through a successful book with a captivating title (I can’t lose weight), Dukan has become that of the Dukan Diet.
So it should come as no surprise that the golden rule of the weight loss diet was developed by a journalist and writer , Michael Pollan , and then recognized as valid and incredibly enlightening by world-renowned nutritionists and dieticians.
Because sometimes the solution can be really simple, even trivial. I’m sure that as soon as I tell you the formula you will answer: “Embè?”.
Here is the golden rule of a true weight loss diet, but also the basic principle of proper nutrition.
“EAT FOOD. NOT TOO MUCH. PERLOPIU ‘VEGETABLES “.Â
Amazed? Confused? What does it mean? Read better, trust me.
In fact, this sentence contains three micro sentences. Pollan (and all the others) explain it this way:
1) EAT FOOD: where by FOOD we only mean natural food, that is, real food. The snack is not food. The muffin you don’t know how it’s made is not food. The frankfurter is not food (there is no frankfurter food, at most it is a food type product). FOODS are foods that we immediately recognize as natural, or products that are obtained from natural foods. Wholemeal flour, created by grinding the whole grains of a cereal, and mixed with water and yeast, is a food and gives a food, of course, but in general by food we mean, strictly speaking, any food of a natural type. based on a single ingredient .
– Meat, fish, milk, eggs, cereals, legumes, nuts, olives, fruits and vegetables, tubers and roots, oils are foods. The more you eat food, the more weight you will lose.
2) NOT TOO MUCH.Eating too much is bad for you. Always get up from the table with a little hunger, and eat enough not to be totally hungry or full. How many of you follow this simple rule? If you ate less, that is a little but not hungry, by containing yourself, you would be longer and leaner in one fell swoop.
3) PERLOPIU ‘VEGETABLES.If we were to divide our daily diet like a pie chart, a quarter or half of our diet is too few to satisfy this third principle. Three quarters is fine. Three quarters of our diet must be from plant sources. To lose weight we must therefore tend to be vegetarians. We can find our animal proteins in one meal a day (only one) in rotation between meat, milk, fish or eggs, but already if we drink milk in the morning we should not eat meat in the evening. Is this an exaggeration? No, I don’t think so.
If you did these three simple things every day and stick to this formula, losing weight would be child’s play.
