Chocolate is good for the diet

Woman eating a chocolate cakeA new study, published in the British newspapers just a few hours ago, indicates in chocolate not only a healthy food, but also a food that is good for the diet and helps weight loss . This was established by a German study, published in the  International Archives of Medicine: starting from the assumption that eating chocolate is good because it is a food rich in flavonoids, a group of researchers has tried to establish how much chocolate can be eaten to promote our healthand if the consumption of chocolate can be decisive for weight loss (since flavonoids have an antioxidant and anti-stress action, promoting metabolism). The researchers thus divided the study participants into three groups: one group was assigned a balanced diet, the second a crash diet without carbohydrates, the third the same crash diet with the addition of over 40 grams of chocolate. Well, the third group lost a lot more weight than the other two.
According to the study, the slimming effect of chocolate would be achieved by reducing carbohydrates in the diet, exercising and adding at least 40-50 grams.of dark chocolate (as bitter as possible) in the diet. For example, reducing the consumption of pasta to 40-50 grams for lunch and the consumption of bread to a slice at dinner, but adding three cubes of chocolate after the two main meals plus one more time for snacks. The result would be a reduction in blood sugar, persistent weight loss, an increased sense of well-being and improved sleep. Researchers warn: the more bitter the chocolate, the greater the weight loss results. Ready to give it a try?

IMPORTANT UPDATE: The German study on chocolate does not exist, despite having been published in a scientific journal. This is what was reported by the curator of the study, John Bohannon, a journalist, who allegedly took the scientific community for a ride, inventing credentials, a website and even a company. (nd R).
