Can I take eleutherococcus for short periods if I take the pill?
I used eleutherococcus tablets while on the pill without knowing it could hurt me, but I haven’t taken it for seven months now and I have to say that while taking it I felt only positive effects, a fabulous all-day boost. Obviously I only took it early in the morning when I get up at 05.45 to go to work, two capsules, now you can find it in all herbalists and pharmacies, and at that time I was under a lot of stress, and I think it was a fabulous natural help. I wanted to know if it is possible for a short time to take it even if I take the pill, as I have read on your nice site and very clear that you should not use it if you take the pill, thanks in advance for your reply.

Dearest Claudia, Eleutherococcus is a variety belonging to the ginseng family, however, not to be confused with panax ginseng with different characteristics. The main difference is that it works very well as an adaptogen, energizing tonic without creating nervousness, therefore it generally adapts to even the most sensitive subjects. As for the interaction with the pill, I recommend limiting its use for short periods and taking it during the day, at a time decidedly distant from taking the pill in order to avoid interactions. It is understood that before taking do-it-yourself herbal remedies, you should take some precautions and consult with our trusted herbalist, (or even by the gynecologist) who will certainly be able to enlighten us on any contraindications based also on the information we provide on our state of health and on existing medications. I hope I was helpful. Sincerely
