As reported by theĀ Financial TimesĀ ,Ā ByteDanceĀ , aĀ Tik TokĀ company, is planning to launch anĀ on-domain music streaming serviceĀ , ready to challengeĀ SpotifyĀ andĀ AppleĀ MusicĀ .Ā The app would reportedly include a collection of short video clips, which can then be synced with various songs and shared with friends.Ā ByteDance’s new app should have a subscriptionĀ costing less than $ 10Ā .Ā In addition, the Chinese company would be in talks withĀ SonyĀ ,Ā UniversalĀ andĀ Warnerto insert their music catalogs into the streaming service.
However, althoughĀ ByteDanceĀ has not put an emphasis on this, the service could arrive sooner than expected.Ā It is thought that the launch could take place as early as this December in countries such asĀ BrazilĀ ,Ā IndiaĀ andĀ IndonesiaĀ , and then debut later also inĀ the United StatesĀ .
