Earlier today, Apple announced it will offer over 2,000 free coding sessions during EU Code Week , October 6-21, with at least one free session every day at every Apple Store across Europe. The coding sessions are open to all and are designed to inspire and help people of all ages and skill levels learn to code through hands-on, interactive sessions.

Sessions include:

  • How To: Learn to Code, Teachers’ Tuesdays:

  • Children’s time: In the labyrinth with Sphero.

The company offers year-round coding sessions as part of the Today at Apple program, during which people can learn to program with Swift, Apple’s modern, powerful and intuitive programming language. Over the past year, over 75,000 attendees have taken part in more than 14,000 coding sessions at Apple stores across Europe. Apple CEO Tim Cook said:

“Coding is a key skill that gives people of all ages the ability to create and share their ideas with the world. Apple has long believed that code is the language of the future, and we’ve created a set of tools to make it fun and accessible to everyone. We are thrilled to offer thousands of sessions in Apple stores for EU Code Week, and we can’t wait to share our love of coding with young people and teachers across Europe ”.
