Today 25 July, at 5 pm, the new Apple Store in Piazza Liberty opens. Water and rock are the characteristics of the first Italian Apple global flagship store, or rather the typical features of Milan, a land of rivers and canals and stone for pavé, buildings and monuments.
Apple is not just a shop but a meeting place, like a typical Italian square. We start from the external staircase, which will act as an amphitheater for the events, and from the large window with a fountain. The project is by the studio of the archistar Norman Foster. The spectacular fountain outside is formed, in the upper part, by 56 jets of water that reach up to 8 meters in height, while in the lower part there is a thin veil of water diffused by 4 thousand nozzles positioned in six rows. The one in Piazza Liberty in Milan is the number 17 shop in our country. Always open except Sundays, it employs 230 people.
In the shop you will find from Apple “classics” to the latest news up to the most sophisticated gadgets, such as the bicycle helmet that, connected to the Apple Watch, lights up signal arrows, up to the home thermostat connected to the iPad or the phone to be able to adjust heating.
