AMD recently revealed the Radeon RX 480 , the first GPU based on Polaris architecture ; it will be available, starting June 29, at the recommended price of $ 199. The new 480 stands in the way, in terms of quality, between the R9 390 and the R9 390X : the card should therefore not be a direct rival of the GTX 1070 and 1080 , but rather a 1060.
In the image above, taken by the PC Gamer guys , we can see the technical characteristics of the RX 480 , and how it behaves towards the other GPUs . It immediately catches the eye how it integrates 36 Compute Units, for a total of 2304 Stream Processors; the bandwith is equal to 256 GB / s, while the graphics core is flanked by 4 or 8 GB of GDDR5 memory at 8 Gbps. Let us know here in the comments what you think of this new GPU from AMD.
