Just 7 minutes a day to introduce new habits into your lifestyle, improve body weight, psycho-physical balance, health. It’s a joke? No, it is really possible to get back in shape in a short time, dedicating a few minutes a day to revolutionize our life little by little.
This is what explains the 7-minute method , a book written by Franziska Rubin, a German doctor specializing in integrated popular medicine. Former editor of a major health magazine, Dr. Rubin was a presenter of the health television program “ Hauptsache Gesund” ( Healthy First ) and won the Kneipp health award .
Super-committed but also curious about everything related to health and body-mind balance, Rubin was able to exploit all her knowledge on the subject and incorporate them into the “7-minute method” , a method that has helped her and thousands of other people to regain well-being and fitness thanks to the 7-minute make-up.
HOW TO GET BACK IN SHAPE IN NO TIME: 7 MINUTES!
What makeup is it? Well, 7 minutes a day is enough to put one of Rubin’s advice into practice. Basically, for 7 weeks, every day you have to carve out 7 minutes of time from your routine to take care of yourself, doing something different.
Every 7 days, of all the tips that took us only 7 minutes of time, you have to choose which of these we really found useful and which didn’t. We can keep the ones we would like to be part of our routine.
And here I already imagine the question: but if for example I like all or most of the advice, in the end it will require a commitment of hours?
No, of course.
First, because it is not certain that a piece of advice that you liked you will do it every day, but maybe every two or three, or once a week. Second, because the advice that can be made on a regular basis, for example on how to have breakfast or how to digest or sleep better, will replace bad or harmful habits.
Paradoxically, you would gain time because you would improve your lifestyle and this would lead you to be more productive, energetic, full of desire to do. And even leaner.
WHAT IS THE 7 MINUTE METHOD

After seven days there is an anchor day.
On this day, as mentioned above, we decide which of these tips have produced a positive change in us. Basically, every eighth day we repeat the advice that we appreciated the most and that we want to take with us on our path of change.
To make you understand what kind of advice these are, I have chosen to take those of the third week. Of these, I anticipate that as many as five have a very positive influence on body weight and will allow you to get back in shape in no time. In fact, we are not talking about grandma’s remedies, but advice based on scientific studies. You have to do one a day.
Third week tips.
- Walk for 6 minutes barefoot (you choose whether at home or in the park, but it would be better to do it on the grass or on the sand or on the ground, then in the open air) and then wear warm or clean socks.
- Take a 7-minute micro-nap (set the alarm clock) by practicing autogenic training: you will be told how to do it. This short nap gives you a chance to recharge during the day.
- Take an extra 7 minutes of time at a meal to chew slowly.
- Make a list in the morning of the “good intentions of the day” . What we would like to achieve. In the evening, we write what we managed to do, it is also about small things, like having a smile from the saleswoman or the neighbor, having talked to someone. Let’s try to think about what we experienced pleasant.
- Use 7 minutes of your time to rope skipping , i.e. skipping rope (but without a rope), then hopping in place as if you were skipping rope.
- Remove those false friendships that make us suffer , making the decision to end relationships and get rid of those who steal your energy.
- Take 7 minutes to prepare a relaxing bath that stimulates the well-being of the skin, called the Cleopatra’s bath, for which the recipe is given.
